From January to July 2025, China's cumulative agricultural machinery exports saw a 40.4% year-on-year increase.

The General Administration of Customs recently released a table of the volume and value of major imports and exports for July 2025 (in RMB). Below is a look at the detailed data related to China's agricultural machinery imports and exports.


Import Situation


In July 2025, China's agricultural machinery imports amounted to RMB 306.95 million, a 52% decrease from the same period last year. The cumulative import value from January to July was RMB 208.481 million, a 35.5% decrease from the same period last year.


For harvesting machinery, the monthly import volume was 195 units, a 37.1% decrease from the same period last year. The monthly import value was RMB 153.16 million, a 53.3% decrease from the same period last year. The cumulative import volume from January to July was 1,198 units, a 35.9% decrease from the same period last year. The cumulative import value from January to July was RMB 913.28 million, a 39.6% decrease from the same period last year.


Tractor imports totaled 23 units in July, down 85.9% year-on-year; the monthly import value was 39.47 million yuan, down 79.4% year-on-year. From January to July, the cumulative import volume reached 244 units, down 71.8% year-on-year; the cumulative import value from January to July was 278.48 million yuan, down 67.7% year-on-year.

Export Status


In July 2025, China's agricultural machinery exports totaled 577.278 million yuan, up 64.6% year-on-year. From January to July, the cumulative export value reached 407.474 million yuan, up 40.4% year-on-year.


In terms of tractors: the export volume in that month was 16,482 units, an increase of 51.7% over the same period last year; the export value in that month was 897.31 million yuan, an increase of 59% over the same period last year; the cumulative export volume from January to July was 106,540 units, an increase of 16.6% over the same period last year; the cumulative export value from January to July was 525.071 million yuan, an increase of 31.4% over the same period last year.
